DAY 59

It's so hard to tell the kids goodbye...everybody's upset. It's always good to be together again, but saying goodbye is really hard. We had our small b-day celebration for Rick and I have him a bite of the frosting off his cake.

I jumped the gun on the ENT dr coming today, he will actually come by sometime in the next few days. Rick had a good day and didn't even seem to be sore from the botox injections. Our insurance requires a 15 day approval for the splints to put on Rick's ankles to continue stretching those out, so instead of waiting they went ahead and put serial casts on just so Rick has 24 hour stretching, just like in his left arm. This will not hinder PT as they have special shoes to put on him and he will continue standing and all the other things he's been doing. He ate 100% of his lunch tray today...yea!

I've got to get to bed...totally exhausted after the long goodbye with the kiddos...so ready to have my family back together again. Thanks again for all your prayers...I know it will happen in God's time.

God's Blessings to everyone!

  2. Crystal,
Keep your eye on the prize, I know how tireing it can be, although mine and Sharyn's situation was a little bit different, I can empathize with you! Now, when things are looking up, just keep your eye on the prize,
keep your thoughts on Jesus, the power in the Word, the healing that Jesus shed blood paid for for all of us, and how one of these days in the near future that life will be back to normal. (that's just a setting on the clothes dryer) Father in Heaven give Crystal an extra boost of strength, Lord send someone to her to help hold her up, peace that passes all under-
standing, and a re-newed mindset that all will be well! Lord we thank you for all the good things that have happened, the healing in Rick, the strength and compassion in Crystal, and the protection over their whole family, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen and Amen,
God Bless, keep your chin up, you've already accomplished more than most people!! later, Rick

  4. Sweet dreams to you "My Sissy". Know that I will hold near and dear to me Cade and Riley till they are back home safe and sound in your arms. Till then I will hold them in mine.

"And while you wait, keep your eyes on Jesus,
Let your hope be in Him alone,
Let His Word give light to encourage your soul,
and His Spirit give your heart a home."

    Love you,
    Pooh

  6. Crystal, I know today was tough but you couldn't ask for anyone better than Pooh and STan to entrust with your children. Know that we will gladly help them out with the kids. Keep up your incredible faith and attitude!! You are as much responsible for Rick's recovery as any medical people. He knows you are constant and focused on his recovery!! With God's help, you will continue to be such an inspiration to all of us!! Enjoy your last day with Gigi!! We will see you Saturday and it can't get here soon enough for me!! Love ya, Aunt Sher

  7. Rick and Crystal,
I can not begin to count the many times people stop to ask how things are progressing and what they might be able to do to help. You have said many times that people are good and you are so incredibly right.
Rick, we are so proud of each step you make forward. We know how strong you are and with Crystal beside you and with God's help you will see your way through this. We love and miss you both.
