DAY 71

So the whole weekend was the direct opposite of last weekend. This morning it was so nice outside we sat out on the 2nd floor patio for an hour. Rick listened to music while I read my Bible...Deuteronomy. He then stood in the standing frame for 25 minutes. He ate really good...and is usually ready for a snack in between meals. We had a lot of visitors today, and I know Rick enjoys seeing everyone. Dr. Carlile was here all weekend...she's such a nice lady and a great doctor.

The following was my daily devotion:

The Courtroom of the World

You will be my witnesses-in Jerusalem, in all of Judea, in Samaira, and in every part of the world. Acts 1:8

We are witnesses. And like witnesses in a court, we are called to testify, to tell what we have seen and heard. And we are to speak truthfully. Our task is not to whitewash nor bloat the truth. Our task is to tell the truth. Period.
There is, however, one difference between the witness in court and witness for Christ. The witness in court eventually steps down from the witness chair, but the witness for Christ never does. Since the claims of Christ are always on trial, court is perpetually in session, and we remain under oath.

Hope y'all have a fabulous week...looking forward to what Christ Jesus has in store for us this week.

Love,
Crystal

  1. The kids had lots of good things to tell us about their weekend and now everyone is settling into bed and all send their kisses and hugs! I feel the same-can't wait to see where the Lord will lead us this week. We will visit next weekend and I can't wait to see you and Rick!

  2. Crystal,
That's great news! Sounds like things are right on track, so glad to hear that Rick is doing better and better by the day. Our prayer is that Rick, you, the doctors, thera-pist, and everyone else involved keep things going the same direction. This is really wonderful! Father in heaven we thank you for all you've done and for all you are going to do. In the name of Jesus, Amen and Amen
God Bless you all, later, Rick

  3. So glad you got to spend the weekend with Cade and Riley. I just cannot imagine how great that would be for all of you. Has to be great therapy for Rick AND you!! We love you guys so much and can't wait to see what God has in store for you. He is awesome and is definitely answering our prayers for Rick and you..... Rick is moving HUGE steps forward each day and never, ever stepping backwards. How awesome is that! We think of you many times each day and just pray for Rick's recovery and for your strength. We're going to Tongue River on the 12th for Brad's wedding. We can do anything you need us to while we're there...
    Love,
Kelly, Reno, Alyssa and Morgan Bradley

  4. Crystal,
Oh my goodness! What great news to hear about the effectiveness of the medicine. After talking with you Friday morning, I once again said a prayer for God's Will. He continues to bless him with improvement.
My boys were so ecstatic to see Cade drive up with Kim on Saturday!!! They had been watching the clock all day long until he got there! They had a great time playing and being together even though it was a short visit. Dane was especially upset when he had to say goodbye at church to him. He didn't understand why he had to leave so soon.
Both kids seemed to enjoy Sunday School. And they both looked so handsome and beautiful. They are two terrific kids; and even though I have told you before, I will tell you again...you and Rick have done a great job with them! They are always welcomed in our home...ANYTIME.
We love and miss you both.

  5. Crystal,

Wow, I haven't kept up for the past 6 days and boy I have I missed a lot. That old Rick (be sure to tell him I said old), we all knew those Dr.’s didn’t have a clue what he was made of!! Crystal, he is going to be ok…Just keep prayin!!!

I really enjoyed reading everything this morning and most of all I love to see you rising up in the realm of the Spirit. Some people just don’t understand his spirit and the strength of knowing his spirit. In the past I have learned from God that in order to cross over to the spiritual city of God we must leave our worldly baggage behind. And, I've seen you, Rick and all of us crossing the bridge, trudging along slowly in single file. But, today reading the blog I saw God's people dancing across the bridge, rejoicing, and moving quickly in unhindered expectation. There is no longer a sense of loss or of leaving something behind, but rather there is great expectation of what God has in store once we let go of the things that hinder our progression.

Crystal, I’m so proud of how much you have grown from week to week!! God has made you and Rick both, much more awesome and will do even more so in his time!! You keep looking for the signs of him revealing his creation in ya’ll!! When you feel lost, just sit still and wait for him and remember: Romans 8:19 (For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God).

    Love ya,
    Bobby, Sandy and Tatum
