DAY 53

Started off with a bang! Started therapy @ 8:30 and will go solid until 11:30. Then another 1 1/2 hours this afternoon. He's done so well. The OT's put a soft cast on his left arm this morning to start helping with managing the tone in that arm...should be off on Friday and reset to straighten even more. Getting ready for PT right now!

Love,
Crystal

  2. Crystal,
Sounds like those folks are serious about rehab. That's great, let's keep up the momentum and pray for a speedy recovery from here on!! Praise God for all the good things to come in the name of Jesus! God Bless and give you both strength, patience, and peace beyond all understanding. later, rick

  3. This is such a wonderful thing to hear. I look forward everyday, sometimes more than once, to see what Rick has accomplished today. At this rate, you will be coming home before you know it. Thank you Lord for watching over Rick and Crystal during his recovery. You are so wonderful!

    Love ya'll

  4. Just an encouraging note: I found out a few days ago that one of my good friends' dad was in a horse wreck a few years ago and had a similar brain injury as Rick. He was in a coma for about 3 months, and I don't know a lot of details about his rehabilitation, but I do know that now he is 100% healed and is back to riding and team roping, and last weekend he was here in Matador riding around on his new toy, a Vespa! LOL! Anyway, I know it was encouraging to me for Rick to hear this guy's story, and I thought it might be a bright spot for you, too. We love you guys, and are thinking about you and praying for you every single day!

    He is Faithful!
