DAY 79

Another boring day...he was awake most of it, and had one PT session and one OT session this morning. Then we just hung out the rest of the day...watched a little TV. He was awake all morning which is good because usually he tries to sleep at some point every morning. The more alert and awake he can be obviously the more he'll participate in therapy. His c-diff symptoms are clearing up and he acts like he feels better. He had a moment of connection earlier. He was following a lot of simple commands. He stuck out his tongue, wiggled his eyebrows, winked, counted on his fingers, pointed to my mouth, and my nose and then pointed to his nose. Lot's of good stuff...I always thank the Lord when Rick has these moments because I know it's His way of letting me know things are going according to His plan and we are one day closer.

Love,
Crystal

  1. Crystal,
Praise the Lord, rather have anything positive than something negative! I'm sure you are right about being awake. So glad to hear the c-diff is better, that has to be the dickens. Father in heaven, we thank you in advance for a good week for Rick and Crystal. Lord we thank you for positive results for Rick and strength, patience, and wisdom for Crystal. Lord we just praise you and thank you that all good things come from you. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen and Amen

  2. All those "little" steps are adding up. God's timing is perfect. Rick must have needed some extra rest for whatever is coming next. We pray for you all each day.

  3. Crystal,

In the Spirit I saw an x-ray of a bone fracture, and the Lord spoke to me of fractures in the body of Christ and said that these breaks are in the process of healing and will actually produce more strength of body than before. But, we must also trust the healing process and allow enough time for complete restoration. I heard Him say that He will bring about perfect healing in due season.

1 Corinthians 12:25-26 that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

We are all rejoicing with you girl! God is amazing!

    Love ya,
    Sandy
