DAY 310

Rick has somewhat recovered from the weekend, but was still a little tired today. He worked hard today. In PT this morning he walked about 30 ft and would then sit down in a chair...then back up again and walk back...over and over again. OT and ST double teamed him and had him standing and talking. It was pretty busy in the gym and Rick did really good standing and concentrating on trying to talk at the same time. This is such good therapy for him. Then this afternoon he had PT again. Laura got the tryke out...it's a 3 wheeled bike. We went outside and he got on and as Laura is explaining to him what to do, he just takes off pedalling. He gets to going to fast at one point that Laura is jogging beside him telling him, "slow down, Rick, slow down!" He had a big ole' smile on his face the whole time. That's what I love about Rick...he's always up for anything, and he's got a great attitude. We decided to bump his pump up once again; from 300 to 315. Shad Wayne, my cousin, came by to see us this evening. Rick has never seen Shad in his work clothes (dress shirt & tie)...all grown up. He smiled and told Shad he looked like "a fish out of water".

These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage, I have overcome the world. John 16:33

Love,
Crystal

  1. Crystal,

Sounds like lots of great progress. And lots of fun getting there. All that swimming and tryke riding...you can't beat that.

You may have heard that the McGaha's had another daughter last night. Cliff & I went to the hospital to visit tonight. "Ireland Grace" is beautiful. Christie is doing well and her mom is here from Colorado to help. Mackenzie, Alli, and Cody are all glad she is finally here. I think they will head back to Guthrie tomorrow.

    Praying for ya'll,
    Ann & Cliff
