Rick walked with the rolling walker in both of his PT sessions today. In the afternoon session, they tried turning the walker around backwards so that he wouldn't lean so far forward when he pushes it. And it worked really well. His posture was much better and therefore, so were his steps. In OT he shaved this morning and did a decent job. In about 35 minutes he got 1/2 of his face shaved. In ST, Meredith told him if he could show her that he can take sips of thin water for a week without chugging it, then she would switch him to thin liquids for all liquids. He is still following the Frasier Water Protocol and does really good until he starts chugging it. When he chugs, he chokes. Cristi Schur came by for a quick visit and asked Rick if he was getting into trouble and said, "just a little bit." I can't wait until he's getting into a lot of trouble!
Ready for Friday...still have plans of going to see the therapy horses.
