DAY 293 & 294

Friday wore Rick out so much, that yesterday morning, he got up to use the bathroom and went right back to bed and slept until 11:00. He ate his breakfast burrito, and as so0n as he was done with it, lunch got here, so he just stayed right where he was and ate enchiladas. After that we watched the movie Major Payne and he laughed...out loud. It wasn't his funny, girly giggle, but it was a laugh. We went to church this morning and really enjoyed it. Afterwards, Jayme's (one of the techs) mom and step brother came to TLC. Her stepbrother, Cody, was in a bad car accident in Sept '08 and suffered a TBI. He was a patient at TLC for 6 months. It was really good to see and hear the progress he has made. He is completely independent now. He talks very softly, and has a slight hitch in his get-a-long, but other than that he's good. It was very interesting to hear of the progress he made even after leaving TLC...progress that he made all on his own. It was very inspiring.

I am taking the kids back to Seymour this afternoon and will spend the night with them and then head back to Lubbock in the morning after I drop them off at school. Rick said he was good with that.

God Bless,
Crystal
