DAY 112

Rick is watching the PBR right now, so you know he's enjoying himself. He had a good day. The kids came with my mom and dad and got here this morning. Riley brought Rick's hat to him and he immediately put it on. Then, she got out her clarinet and played "Mary Had A Little Lamb"...he clapped for her when she was done. This house got so crowded today with family and friends coming to visit everyone. So we went to the rec room. It's in a barn and has a pool table, fooz ball, air hockey, and plenty of room for the kids to run and play. Rick played air hockey with the kids and hit the puck pretty good. I was impressed with the way he would follow the puck down the table and try to hit it. Then, we had a nice visit with Greg and Tracy Ray. Cade was playing with Tracy's phone and found Tammy Hatfield in her contacts list. He looked at Tracy and said, "How do you know Tammy Hatfield?" It was funny. For those of you who don't know, Tracy and Tammy are sisters and Tammy teaches in Guthrie...so guess who got a phone call from Cade? The kids and I went to Anna and picked up Sonic for supper. Rick ate most of a chicken strip dinner. We're still trying to get settled in and used to what goes on here...this is so different from the hospital. But we'll get it figured out.

It's always great to see the kids and it gives my sister and Stan a break. They have really taken on a lot...they've effectively doubled their workload by taking in our kids. Please keep them in your prayers...especially Stan...now there's 4 females in the house!

Love,
Crystal

  1. Hi Crystal,
I am so thankful I can keep up with Rick's amazing progress here. I check it every day. I miss you two and you are always in my thoughts and prayers. I am so excited about his continued progress yay Rick. I am so sorry and sad I did not get to officially say goodbye. Mason has been sick with a bad virus all week. Consider you and Rick hugged :) I really want to come and see you guys, possibly with Olivia. You tell Rick to keep on keeping on. Please take care of you. Lots of love

  2. Crystal,
So glad to hear the kids had a good time with y'all and your folks. I don't know Stan
but I have to agree he deserves a prayer (as much as most of us love women) there can be certain drawbacks, now it's time to get off that subject. God Bless you Stan! I'll bet you enjoy getting to go to the Sonic for a change of pace. Well I hope all of you have a wonderful Sunday and a blessed next week. God Bless and keep you all, and keep the family traveling safe, In the name of Jesus, Amen
    God Bless America, later, Rick

  3. WONDERFUL!!!! Every update is so uplifting.
Special prayers for Stan. My dad had 3 daughters + my mom. Poor guy sometimes I wonder how he got through. But it paid off later--those girls usually hang around much more than the guys. Stan will be blessed.
    Have a beautiful day. shelah
