DAY 151

Sorry it's so late...I had visitors and lost track of time. Rick did really well today, he was evaluated this morning by PT, OT, and ST and then had 3 hours of treatment this afternoon. At 3:00 he had to take a nap...I think yesterday finally caught up to him.

Shauna (college roommate) came to see us...the last time she saw Rick he was still in a coma...so there were tears of happiness. Shad Wayne (cousin) came by, too. Rick has always given Shad a hard time (imagine that) and out of the clear blue, totally unprovoked, Rick gives Shad the "loser" sign. Then, it was time for his shower and he looked at Shad and gave him a goodbye salute...so natural looking...something Rick did all the time.

The folks here at Trustpoint have been very good to us and I know our stay here will be great. Also talked to TLC today, and they had a bed come open and can take us as soon as the pump is adjusted...so could be sooner than we originally expected.

Got to get to bed!

God Bless,
Crystal

  2. Love you both, so glad you are in Lubbock. Learned last night that Bubba took another dump on that darn horse. Please tell Rick, he needs to get well and train his Dad's horse or shoot the darn thing!!! :) At this point I will furnish the gun. God Bless you
