DAY 18 CONTINUED

Dr. Mercer said the catscan looked good...all of the blood is almost resolved and the contusions appear to be healing...baby steps. He also said the ulra sound of Rick's legs showed no blood clots (thank you Jesus), and has ruled out many things as the possible cause of the fever. He said they are used to chasing fevers in the hospital and he is not that worried about it. He plans on putting the feeding tube in the stomach tomorrow, and possibly moving us to the LTAC on Monday. Rick seems to have had a lot of movement today...whether it's purposeful, reflex or otherwise I don't know and I don't care...at this point I'm just thrilled to see him move.

I am checking this blog every day and love hearing the progress Rick is making. Like you said, baby steps, but that is ok. I'm sorry I haven't come to visit yet, but know I am continually praying and thinking about you.

We have been out of town but you have been in our prayers daily. Daily improvements sounds like. God is in control, and I know he is hearing all prayers for Rick and your family. We are on his time schedule, not ours, but it sounds like Rick is improving each and every day. Baby steps will soon turn into regular steps and then before you know it running. I check the blog every day or night to keep up with the progress. Thank you so much for providing this to us all so we can keep up with the progress. Love to you all and we will keep praying!!!

  9. Crystal,

Thank you so much for letting us spend the day with you, Miss Riley and Rick. God just continues to amaze me (and many others) with your phenomenal endurance and strength. Girl, it is so obvious that God is present and he is empowering you and Rick every second to attain this victory. Those movements today, that was God speaking to you through Rick. He is telling you that he is so pleased with your faith.

Crystal you look at that cross everyday and keep the faith…God will continue to carry you while he is healing Rick. He promises us “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that will overcome the world – our faith….” 1 John 5:4

He’s got your faith Crystal, now all you have to do is just rest and take care of yourself…God wants us to go to him when we are weary and burdened and he will give us rest (Mathew 11:28). Your precious angels Rick, Riley and Cade need you to rest.

Thanks again for the wonderful day, I pray you are sleeping sound. God Bless..

    Love ya,
    Bobby, Sandy and Tatum
