So, we handled coming off the ventilator fabulously, but taking the bolt out is something that's going to have to wait. They started testing the pressure this morning, but by 2:00 decided that he couldn't handle it. So, the bolt stays in for now. But I am not discouraged. He seemed to be in a little more pain today, so the dr upped his pain medicine a little bit. Other than that no change for the day.
Thanks for your prayers...they mean everything.
Love,
Crystal

Today was a milestone, as the ventilator was removed, and we give all the glory to God for allowing this to happen. How sweet it is to know every breath of life Rick takes is on his own. May this step forward give you confidence and assurance for a positive outcome. I admire you, Crystal, for your determination and dedication as a wife, mother, and friend!

Crystal...the Schoppa family in Houston and Wichita Falls are lifting your family and Rick up every day. Praying for continued improvement and God's blessings. Dad asks if I'd heard anything every night when I talk to him...so I forwarded this blog to him...

Crystal...I am keeping up with these posts daily (sometimes more than once a day) and praying for you and Rick and your family. I so wish I was closer to help out with Cade & Riley - Kaitlyn even offered to go get them herself! ;) One of my favorite verses is Philippians 4:6 "Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs and don't forget to thank Him for His answers." I continue to pray for you guys, and give praise for the little victories just as you do. God bless you, Crystal Kieschnick! Love, Angel
