Rick continues to show such good progress...every day we see something new from him. Today during afternoon therapy he held his head up on his own for about 15 minutes. This is wonderful...just 9 days ago he couldn't do that. Every day he seems to have more moments of "wakefullness"...is that a word? Anyway, he opens his eyes more and moves his hands and arms alot, and he does it more and more often. When he's awake I try to reassure him that everthing is going to be ok. I don't want him to be frustrated or scared...I tell him just like I tell Riley and Cade...if you're afraid just ask the Lord to take away your fear and give you comfort.
Some days I pray so much...it's become second nature to me. But sometimes, I'm so tired, I just can't find the words to pray...it seems like I say the same thing over and over again, but I've found that The Lords Prayer is a great prayer to pray at anytime.
Thanks again for all your support...it will never be forgotten.

Sounds like progress again today! YAY! Crystal, there are SO many people praying so hard for you and Rick every moment. Even when you are too tired, I promise that many prayers are still being said for Rick and you. You have an amazing band of friends, family and people you have never even met praying all over Texas and beyond. So it's okay!! You are so amazing and strong and I promise you have so so much support. We love you! Each day gets better than the day before!

ReplyDeleteEvery time I see Rick, he has progressed so much from each time before. So many people are praying. I know God is thinking, "Wow, Rick Kieschnick, you sure are loved!" As Kelly said, there are people that don't even know ya'll that are praying and asking about his progress!!!
