DAY 14 CONTINUED

Talked to Dr. Mercer a little while ago and he believes that Rick is stable enough to move to another floor tomorrow. A catscan will be done first thing in the morning, and after he reads that he'll decide whether or not to move him. He feels like Rick is finally stable. He also said that when people have injuries on both sides of the brain (like Rick does) it takes longer for them to wake up. Dr. Mercer said he'll go over the catscan with me in the morning...and then I'll update the blog.

It's amazing what prayer can do...it's moving us along and I couldn't be happier.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Happy 4th!
Love,
Crystal

  1. Hi Crystal,
Jeff and I think of you often. Praying! I am so proud to know you and your family. Look forward to a time when we can see you both and the kids. We are such a long ways away, especially when something like this happens. Thank you so much for the updates. As you are learning first hand, the brain takes a long time to heal, but it can and will. Jeff and I have a nephew, Zeb, who several years ago spent a very long time unconcious in the hospital after a horse kicked or pawed him. He is doing well today. He lost the sight in one eye but rides colts and does pretty much what he did before. hold on to the good! Love you! Jeff and Dorisann Shipp

  4. I'm so glad things are looking up for Rick. I didn't hear the news about his accident until today, so now you have one more prayer warrior asking God to bring Rick back to you and your family. Keep us updated! Love you, Bobbie Jo

  7. Awesome Crystal Awesome!!!!! What an awesome 4th of July!!!!!

Our trip gave me time to sift through some of my notes from the past that helped us get through those difficult times we talked about the other night at the hospital. Amazing that I didn't have the opportunity on the phone the other night to share one of them with you. Once again GOD has his own timing.......timing that is nothing but perfect!!

    Here it is:

You are beginning to emerge from the fog of uncertainty, and then you will see with great clarity the purposes I have for you and the direction that I am taking you, says the Lord. Take a deep breath, a sigh of relief, and release all the stress that has found a home in you in the last few weeks and months. This is a new day that carries with it new possibilities and new hope. Renew yourself in trust and expectation while maintaining spiritual discernment and reality. 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him."

Crystal....Pretty powerful for you today, huh!God is so good! We are sending prayers up continuously!

With lots of hugs and love,
    Bobby, Sandy and Tater
