DAY 212 & 213

7 MONTHS AGO TODAY OUR LIVES WERE CHANGED FOREVER...NO MATTER WHAT THE OUTCOME, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A "BEFORE" AND AN "AFTER".

YOU CAN KNOW ABOUT JESUS, BUT NOT KNOW JESUS...YOU CAN HAVE HIM IN YOUR HAND BUT NOT IN YOUR HEART....THERE'S A DIFFERENCE.

Jesus approached and breaking the silence said to them, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days to the very close and consummation of the age. Matthew 28: 18-20

In my bible Joyce Meyer explains these verses like this: Have you ever wondered about your purpose in life? Know that you have been called by God to teach others about Who He is and what it means to follow Him. God gave you the authority to do so, and he has promised to not leave you on your own, but to be with you always. Ask God to show you where He wants you to go-to someone in your office, in your neighborhood, perhaps even in your own family-so that you can help others follow Him, too.

Thanks to everyone who has helped us out in any way the last 7 months. Sometimes you think, "all I have is $20 to send, or just my favorite bible verse, or a nice card, or a letter that starts out , "you don't know me, but"....or you've cooked dinner for my family, said a kind word to my kids, visited at the hospital, offered your home to me, and faithfully prayed for Rick. These things add up and have made all the difference to us. The body of Christ is a wonderful thing.

Love,
Crystal

  1. Crystal,
TLC sounds like a wonderful place. Sounds like Rick is making huge progress there. You know it's amazing how a persons life can change in the blink of an eye sometimes for the good and sometimes for the worse. I know that after all you guys have been through it seems as if you have had a little of both..But God's word says that all things work for the good according to his purpose. Crystal God purposed what happened in your life and one day you will know exactly why. Until then keep your chin up and keep fighting the good fight. Your ability to stay positive and continue giving God all the praise has been a blessing to alot of people including me... I am praying for ya'll and I just know that it will not be long before Rick is shouting out your name across your home and you will smile knowing how far you have come.....Multiple blessings on you and your family....

  2. Today's post hit home with me...Sixteen years ago this past November, my family's life changed too. Like you said "there is a before and an after." It is hopeful and reassuring and yes, it can bring one closer to God. It makes you appreciate "little" things...a giggle, the way the light passes through a window, or the smirk of someone you love. It also makes you appreciate the friendships of those who support you even when they have their own challenges. That is truly God working in our lives through the goodness of others.
We love and miss you both! And thank you, Crystal, for your postings...it is truly a gift to know how Rick is doing, to read what a great Christian the both of you are, and to see how strong of a bond the two of you have.
