DAY 226

God continues to bless us everyday. Dr. Wolcott always makes rounds on Tuesdays and meets with the therapists. Again, they all had wonderful things to say about Rick and have high expectations for him. Dr. Wolcott thought Rick looked really, really good today...and he does. All sessions were good today...he didn't think anything was idiotic. During his speech session he voiced 85% of the time...that is so exciting to me plus he's voicing more outside of speech.

Cade is better today and that's a blessing, too. Laura and Lyssa continue to take good care of me...I will not go hungry or want for anything. They are great roomies. I must have writer's block tonight...I can't think of anything else to say! Hope y'all have a great night.

Love,
Crystal

  1. Crystal,
Nothing like good news to reinforce our faith. God Bless all, glad to hear Cade is better. You take care and hang on, this ordeal will come to an end one of these days. Thank you Jesus, later, Rick

  2. Crystal,

Rick seems to be making more and more progress than just a couple of months ago. Voicing 85%! Seems like it wasn't too long ago that you said he was just barely voicing. Bigger and bigger steps. This is great news.

Glad the doctor is so encouraged, also.

    Still praying,

  3. Crystal,
It's great to hear that Rick is using his voice successfully... can't wait to talk to him and hear what he has to say!! I got a hug from Cade today... I could tell he wasn't his normal self. Hope he's better soon.
Love and many prayers for you all!

  4. It is so good to hear all the good news and progress Rick has made. We think about you guys daily and pray just as often. You probably know this already, but I want to tell you that there are so many people praying and thinking about you guys. Bobby and I both get asked all the time about how Rick is doing. We have talked so many times about coming to visit and we will let you know when we are coming. I am so impressed with all the care Rick is getting and with the patience you show in helping him. You are his guardian angel!!! Don't forget to take care of youself. We Love you guys!!!
